I do I do I do

I am getting married next year in April, so all the wedding fun and activities have started. We are making, sticking, spraying, collecting and arranging...it is quiet an ordeal but I truly am enjoying it. I am going to keep you all updated as we go along. Lots to do!
The laser cut bowl above has been undergoing many layers of spray paint, just one to go I think.

Meet Winston

I promised pictures of our new addition. So here they are! He is the second love of my life! I am sure you will be hearing lots about him in the coming months. His name is Winston and as you can see he snoozes alot, but he is only 6 weeks old, so his little body is still growing. Winston is a Boston Terrier, we collected him from JHB this weekend, I almost exploded with excitement! So far he is doing very well, he is eating well and he is a happy puppy! I love him!

Victorian Pop Up

This is a beautiful pop-up book I found at a second hand shop. The book totally transforms into a Victorian home! It is a little damaged, but I think I like that better, that means their have been lots of children looking at this book with their moms & grans - cuddling in bed together before bed...I LOVE BOOKS! I have so many happy childhood memories which often involve BOOKS.

Ikhaya

Two precious buys I have recently bought from Ikhaya. I have been a Soetkoekie fan for a long long time and I was so excited to bring these little treasures home. Ikhaya is an absolute gem in Durban. I have my eye on quiet a few things inside that store. See their website for more. Ikhaya
Rhenda, who is the owner of the store, is also wonderful to deal with!

...I am more excited than words can explain. We will meet our little puppy tomorrow! His bags are all packed and ready for him. We are driving to JHB in a little while to collect him!

Kewpie

I am over the moon!!! I have just purchased one of these gorgeous Kewpie dolls from Ikhaya! I have been searching for one for ages! I cannot believe that I have one to come home with me! Contact ikhaya to get yours now!

Cupcake signage

The talented Nadia from Cupcake Couture recently asked me to do this wooden sign for her. It was such a lovely idea and I was so happy to help! It looked great and I spotted this picture of it on Carrosparro, one of my new favorite blogs. Very exciting to see!

4 Sleeps

until our little darling arrives! We are so excited! His bed and all his chewy toys have been purchased, as well as the specific food we have to feed him for the first 3 weeks while he is adjusting to his new home. I will post pictures of him as soon as we have him cuddling next to us. The names are still flying around.

New Member of the family

We are adding a new member to our little family. A little Boston Terrier, he is arriving next weekend. We are so excited, I can hardly sleep at night. I don't have any pictures of our little pup yet but I will be posting pictures up as soon as he arrives! We are busy finding names that are suitable to choose from when he arrives.
We are busy deciding on the best food to feed him and who all the babysitters will be. We have been waiting for this little member for a very long time and the countdown has started...I will keep you all posted. 11 sleeps to go.

Soul Bird Sml- Light Oak

Oh gosh! I really have to try get one of these!!!! They are so divine!!!! and the concept and meaning behind them is awesome - it makes me want them even more. Here

See below by the creator Sanna Annukka....

In Karelia there was an ancient belief in the Sielulintu or Soul bird. The Sielulintu was thought to deliver the soul to newborn babies and also to transport the soul to the afterlife at the moment of death.
It was believed the Sielulintu protected a persons soul at it's most vulnerable; when dreaming, and it was tradition to keep a carved wooden bird by the bedside to keep the soul safe during sleep.
